May 9 seems to be approaching quickly and whether you're an athletically challenged person or just need to dust off the old baseball glove before the first game, here's the perfect opportunity for us to gel as a team!!
There will be an unofficial open practice Monday, May 7 at West Elementary (?)right down the road from Russ'. Just take a right out of Russ' onto Canal, then go left on Blackfoot and it's pretty hard to miss. You can park either in the front or there's another drive that sneaks behind the school (Ask Stacy or Melissa if you have any ???).
For those of us who are directionally challenged, you can meet at Russ' parking lot at 7:20 and follow someone to the school. Otherwise, be at one of the softball fields around 7:30-ish, weather permitting (the cut-off weather conditions are temperatures less than 17 degrees and more than 9.3 inches of snow--in other words, we'll be there anyway--oh wait, unless there's lightning involved since that could prove to be dangerous if we're using metal bats.)
Practice will probably run until it's so dark we can't see the ball or until somebody gets beaned and requires urgent care from the paramedics. We'd like to get a bunch of people there, so bring anyone you can think of, even non-team-members so we can draft them if they're good. Don't forget to bring your glove, softball, bat, or ice packs. Hope to see you there!!

How about I make it official, everyone be there or be in danger of riding the bench. I'll try and make it just so I can bestow my knowledge upon all of you, and also practice since I haven't played softball or baseball in two years.
I am definitely going to make the practice offical. Any player that is not there will indeed lose their sport on the roster, without a refund. Remember this, practice makes perfect and perfect wins championship rings!
